The group studies interactions between genes, environmental conditions and epigenetic mechanisms in cancer, aging and neuropsychiatric illness. Researchers develop molecular and statistical tools for examining epigenetic patterns across entire genomes. Laboratory and computational approaches investigate responses to environmental stress and the inheritance of regulatory states. The research also examines epigenetic variability in cancer progression, including how changing regulatory patterns can help tumor cells adapt to their host environment.
