The group combines computational modeling, experiments and data analysis to design processes for making products with biomimetic attributes. Its tissue-manufacturing research develops ultrasound-assisted bioprinting and three-dimensional melt and solution blowing for engineered medical products. Researchers also investigate non-destructive quality measurements using dielectric and ultrasound spectroscopy to assess these biological products. The work connects manufacturing settings, biomaterials and functional quality, while the broader research program includes sustainable protein applications.
