Community standards

Find Research Labs is for legitimate research recruitment and collaboration. These standards apply to profiles, listings, applications, messages, and use of the service.

Represent yourself honestly

Use accurate identities, affiliations, qualifications, and research experience. Do not impersonate another person or institution, fabricate publications, or claim lab ownership without authorization. Keep recruitment status and opportunity details current.

Recruit transparently

Describe responsibilities, eligibility, funding, location, and expectations accurately. Do not publish fake opportunities, misleading guarantees, scams, or requests for payment to secure a position. Evaluate applicants fairly and comply with applicable recruitment and anti-discrimination requirements.

Treat people respectfully

Harassment, threats, hate speech, discriminatory abuse, sexual exploitation, and targeted intimidation are not permitted. Do not send spam, unsolicited bulk messages, or manipulative communications.

Protect privacy and research confidentiality

Only upload information you have permission to share. Do not disclose another person’s private details, confidential research, credentials, or protected participant data. Use candidate information only for legitimate recruitment and respect profile-sharing choices. Do not redistribute candidate profiles or email digests without permission.

Respect content rights

Publish only text and media you created, have permission to use, or can lawfully use under an applicable license or exception. Write factual summaries in your own words and link to sources. A publicly accessible website or photograph is not automatically licensed for reuse. Do not imply university or faculty endorsement without authorization.

Use the service responsibly

Do not bypass access controls, scrape private information, exploit security flaws, or interfere with the service. Review AI-generated drafts and match explanations before relying on them. Research leads and applicants remain responsible for their decisions and for verifying important claims.

Reports, enforcement, and appeals

Report suspected misuse with the relevant page, message, or request reference and a concise description. Administrators may review reports, request corrections, remove content, or restrict access depending on the circumstances. If you believe an action was mistaken, explain why and provide relevant evidence when requesting a review. This service is not an emergency response channel; contact appropriate local emergency services when someone is in immediate danger.

For privacy requests, safety reports, or appeals, email [email protected]. Include your account email and relevant page or request reference. Do not send passwords, identity documents, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
